Iran will not attack Israel if there is a ceasefire in Gaza

Iran will not attack Israel. But to ensure that, the US must implement a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. This information was reported by Israeli media Jerusalem Post citing Iranian media Zadeh Iran.

Last week, five Iranian military advisers and two generals were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the consular building of the Iranian embassy in the Syrian capital, Damascus. Both these generals were the top commanders of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. Immediately after the assassination, Iran vowed to retaliate against Israel.

According to the report of the Jerusalem Post, Iran has told the United States that Tehran will not engage in direct conflict with Israel over the events in Syria. But to ensure this, Washington must implement a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

On Sunday, Zadeh Iran reported the matter, citing Arab world diplomats on condition of anonymity. The source also said two days ago, “If America succeeds in controlling the situation (implementing the ceasefire), it will be a great achievement for the (US President) Joe Biden administration and we can move forward with this issue.”

The issue comes at a time when a hostage and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel has resumed in Cairo, the Egyptian capital. At the same time, Iran has also begun mulling a possible response against Israel, and Tel Aviv is preparing to deter an Iranian attack
