Iran has again threatened to avenge the death of seven Revolutionary Guards in an Israeli attack in Damascus. Iran’s army chief Mohammad Bagheri said on Saturday that the enemies of his country will regret this killing. He also promised maximum damage in retaliatory attacks. Iranian army chief Mohammad Bagheri has warned that there will be a precise attack with the right plan at the right time. Promising maximum casualties, he said, the level of casualties would be so high that the enemy would regret launching an attack against Iran.

Senior Quds Force commander Mohammad Reza Zahedi, who was killed in an Israeli attack, was paid tribute in a ceremony organized by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Ispahan, Tehran. Thousands of people gathered in it. Chief of Army Staff Bagheri said this in his speech.

IRGC chief General Hossein Salami said on this occasion that Israel should pay the price for this incident. He also said that the brave people of Iran must punish the Zionist state.

Tehran has announced retaliation for the Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, the capital of Syria, which killed 11 people, including two top generals of the country’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). The fear of war spreading in the Middle East has intensified.

As a result, Israel temporarily suspended the vacation of all combat units of its defense forces. Along with that, the air defense system has been strengthened. Israel has temporarily closed embassies and consulates in 28 countries due to the threat of attacks.

The United States is also on the highest alert after Israel. A US official said on Friday that the United States is preparing to counter a possible attack by Iran.

US President Joe Biden spoke on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last Thursday. At this time, the threat of Iran was also discussed. Washington said Biden made it clear that the United States strongly supports Israel in the face of the Iranian threat.
