Iran’s ‘threat’ to destroy US bases in the Middle East if it stands by Israel

If the United States takes Tel Aviv’s side in the Iran-Israel conflict, Tehran will crush American bases in the Middle East. Tehran has given this message to Washington through several Arab countries. It was the first strong message from Iran to the United States after it threatened to retaliate after an Israeli strike in Syria killed two top Iranian generals.

According to a report by US media Axios, last week, Iran told the United States through the Arab countries that if the United States joins the conflict between Israel and Iran, Tehran will attack the US bases in the Middle East.

On April 1, Israel attacked the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria. Al-Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) killed 11 people including two top generals. Since that attack, Iran’s top policymakers, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the country’s President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir Abdullahian and the head of the IRGC, have repeatedly threatened to retaliate against Israel.

Meanwhile, on the last day of last week, the United States said based on the assessment of intelligence information, Iran may launch an attack on Israeli soil within the next 24 to 48 hours. According to the report of the American media Wall Street Journal, this attack may be in the northern or southern regions of Israel. However, citing a source close to the Iranian government, Wall Street reported that Tehran has not yet made a final decision regarding the attack on Israel.

Before that, US media Bloomberg reported in a report that Israel’s Western allies including the United States believe that a large-scale Iranian missile or drone attack on Israel is imminent. In this case, Iran can target Israel’s government and military facilities.

The latest US President Joe Biden has also said that an Iranian attack on Israel is imminent. At the same time, he warned Iran not to attack Israel. Apart from this, the White House has taken steps to protect Israel from a possible Iranian attack.

Joe Biden said, “Iran’s attack on Israel will not be late, but very soon.” In this situation, he warned Iran, saying, “Our message to Tehran is clear, don’t (attack Israel).”
