Axios reports that Biden and Netanyahu spoke on the phone shortly after the start of the Iranian attack on Israel on Saturday night. At that time, Biden expressed the position of the United States on this issue and said that his country will not support Israel if it wants to counterattack Iran.

According to the report of CNN, the United States will not participate in any Israeli counterattack against Iran. According to the Axios report, Biden told Netanyahu that the United States would oppose Israel’s counterattack on Iran.

The United States has reiterated its support for Tel Aviv’s defense against Iran, even as it opposes an Israeli counterattack. The White House confirmed the matter in a statement last night.

The White House said, “Iran has launched airstrikes against Israel.” US National Security Council spokesman Adrienne Watson said in a statement, “Our support for Israel’s security is unwavering.” He added, “The United States will stand by the people of Israel.” and will support their defense against this threat from Iran.’

Before this, on April 1, an airstrike took place on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, the capital of Syria. A total of 11 people were killed in this, including two top generals of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Al-Quds Force. Although Israel has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack, Iran has been blaming Israel for it.

In response, Iran launched several drone and missile attacks on Israel on Saturday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Saturday night that Iran had launched drones and missiles at Israel.

The IDF said a number of drones had been launched. It may take several hours for the drones to arrive in Israel. Iran has launched more than 100 drones. An Israeli military officer gave this information.
