Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Europe is in a period just before a war with Russia begins, and this period began two years ago. Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Russia’s neighboring country, Poland, issued such a warning. “Ukraine cannot be allowed to lose to Russia because of Europe’s collective interests,” he said.

In an interview given to the German newspaper De Welt, the Polish Prime Minister said, “Europe is in a pre-war state and it is not a thing of the past.” This is the reality now and it started two years ago.

Donald Tusk’s comments came at a time when Russian President Vladimir Putin said only a few days ago that Russia has no intention of attacking NATO countries. But if an F-16 fighter jet flies anywhere in Ukraine, that would be considered a legitimate target for Russia.

Appealing for more military aid to Ukraine, the Polish Prime Minister said, “The next two years of war will decide everything.” He added, “We are living in the most critical time since World War II.”

Noting that Russia attacked Kiev with a hypersonic missile in broad daylight, Donald Tusk said, “Europe’s security needs to be rethought.” At the same time, he also said that Moscow’s Crocus Hall on behalf of Russia to blame Ukraine for the terrorist attack means that the Russian president of Ukraine. Trying to find justification for attacks on civilian structures.

Who can win the US elections to be held in November this year, will depend a lot on how the country’s relationship with NATO will be. In that regard, Tusk said, Europe does not need any infrastructure parallel to NATO. But if Europe becomes more militarily self-reliant, the US will become a more attractive ally.

Note that Poland currently spends 4 percent of the country’s total GDP on the military sector. However, other European countries are yet to reach 2 percent. There is an obligation of 2 percent of the military budget for NATO countries.

The former president of the European Council urged Europe to prepare for war ahead of time. At that time, he mentioned, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, called on the leaders of the European countries to stop using the word “war”. Because it is not right to scare the people.

Referring to Russia, Tusk said, in the part of Europe where he lives, war is no longer an abstract idea, but any event is very possible. He further said, ‘I know it is very scary to hear, especially for the younger generation, but we have to mentally get used to the coming of a new age. A pre-war era.’
