As the Gazans will spend their Eid amidst the fear of famine and bullet-bombs

Starving Gazans will be in fear of bullets and bombs even on Eid. There will be the pain of losing everything. Among them, many people are sewing old clothes. Making flour biscuits as an alternative to sweets. What the children will eat.

The entire Gaza is like a pile of ruins due to the brutality of the Israeli forces. More than 33 thousand people lost their lives in 6 months. Those who are still alive, did not get anything better than sehri and iftar during fasting. Eid has come in the middle of such reality.

There are no signs of a cease-fire or a cease-fire. Gazans will spend Eid day in fear of torture by Israeli soldiers. A resident of Gaza said, “Eid is not here. There is nothing to buy. Can’t afford anything else. Before the invasion of Israeli forces, we used to buy sweets, clothes for Eid. I took all kinds of preparations. Now I live in a tent, I don’t have my own house. I am in a very bad condition.

Displaced women of Deil Al Bala town make biscuits by hand for Eid. Many people are sewing old torn clothes. No one can afford to do that.

A Palestinian woman from Gaza said, “I made biscuits as a dessert for the children. But there are no clothes for Eid. My daughter has grown up, there are no clothes for her either. Everything is torn.’

Not clothes and shoes or good food, Gazans are looking for the joy of Eid within the end of the war. A resident said, ‘Eid… what kind of Eid is in the war. There is no Eid-ul-Fitr, no Eid-ul-Azha. For us, Eid means the end of war and aggression.

The people of Gaza are still waiting for a ceasefire. Hopefully the Israeli aggression will end soon.
