Those who attacked a concert near Moscow, and those who ordered the attack, will inevitably be punished. Russian President Vladimir Putin said these things in his address to the nation on Saturday, local time. The news agency Reuters gave the news in a report.

The death toll rose to 133 in Friday’s terrorist attack on Crocus City Hall in Krasnogorsk, a suburb of the Russian capital Moscow. As many of them died due to gunshots, several died in the fire in the concert hall.

Putin described the attackers as “enemies” and their actions as “international terrorism”, saying Russia was ready to work with countries that wanted to defeat international terrorism.

“All the criminals, the organizers of the crimes and those who ordered these crimes, whoever they are, will be punished justly and inevitably,” Putin said. Those who are behind the terrorists, who have carried out these brutal attacks against Russia, against our people—we will identify them and punish them.’

The Russian president also said that the four attackers were fleeing towards Ukraine. They were hoping to cross the border. Four people were arrested at that time.

“Some people in Ukraine were ready to let the attackers cross the border from Russia,” he said, but Ukraine has denied involvement in the attack.

In his address to the nation, the Russian president said, “They (the attackers) tried to hide and moved towards Ukraine.” According to the preliminary information of the investigation, a place was prepared for them to cross the Russian border from the Ukrainian side.

The Islamic State-Khorasan, or IS, claimed responsibility for the attack. US broadcaster CNN reported that the Islamic State-Khorasan made the claim in a short video message on the Telegram channel. The video was shared on the Telegram channel of the Islamic State-affiliated news agency ‘Amaq.

IS claimed responsibility for the attack in the video. However, the group did not give any information on how they carried out the attack or who was involved.
