Vladimir Putin presented a car to Kim Jong Un

Russian President Vladimir Putin presented North Korean President Kim Jong Un with a car. North Korea’s state-run news agency said the Russian president had gifted the car to Kim for his personal use. This information is known from the report of the news agency Reuters.

Since the meeting between Kim and Putin in September last year, cordiality between the two countries has been steadily increasing. Relations between the two countries have deepened as the Western world has treated the two countries almost identically, largely over Russia’s war in Ukraine and North Korea’s advancement of its nuclear program.
North Korea’s state-run news agency KCNA reported that the Russian-made car was given to the North Korean president on February 18. Kim’s sister politely thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin on behalf of Kim Jong Un for the gift. Kim’s sister said the gift was a clear sign of the special personal relationship between the top leaders of the two countries.
The KCNA report did not say which model of car was gifted by Russia. Also, details about how the car was sent from Russia to North Korea were not disclosed. Kim Jong Un has a hobby of collecting cars. He even has several luxury cars in his collection.

Earlier, Kim visited the presidential Auras Senate limousine in Putin’s collection during his visit to Russia last September. At that time, Putin invited Kim to ride in his limousine. Of course, Kim took his own Maybach limousine on the trip.
